We are KICKING off Martial Arts May with Kung Fu Hustle. I almost want to end the description there, but no! This non-stop film of gang wars, landlords, and gross bad guys really pulled out all the stops. Kung Pow's CG milk has nothin' on some good ol' eagle-hopping. Right?

You have to "trust the fungus" on this one because we actually enjoyed it. In fact, did Mario beat Sonic to the punch? Maybe he didn't beat him financially, but this film will probably age better than Limp Bizkit jokes and long-winded wedding scenes.
Video game movies get a bad rap, and this movie is totally to blame. That in mind, grab your Reebok-branded stompers, order a pizza, and settle down for a wild ride that only 1993 could bring you. It's Super Mario Bros!

You ever watch a movie and think, "Is this a classic movie that I just don't understand?... No I think it's actually horrible." Well, let's just say we each thought half of that for this week's choice: Strange Invaders!
If small towns could talk then they would probably ask why this movie ever happened. It seems that the 80s birthed some amazing things, and then also this movie. But really, Scotty loved it, so what's that say about him? And did this movie just create a plot device stolen by the MCU?

Rudy Ray Moore did more in his lifetime than most people dream of doing, and somehow we fit all that into our little discussion. It becomes real clear real quick that the movie rating system did not exist in the 70s while 2019's interpretation ended with a whole lot of heart but just as many laughs. It's Dolemite! I ain't lyin'!
